Sound Beginnings Studio Policies

• Enrollment in the Sound Beginnings program purchases a spot in the class for one full semester, which means you are responsible for the payment of the full semester even if you miss classes, take weeks off, or discontinue mid-semester. If you drop out at any time, tuition will not be refunded. In case of unexpected hardship, I will notify Ms. Abigail as soon as possible.

• Your registration fee ($10.00), materials fee (approximately $47.00 for new families), and tuition payments are non-refundable. 

• You will review the class calendar and agree to the dates listed. There are 15 lessons per semester. Classes are held weekly and are approximately 30 minutes each.

• Tuition shall be paid in full at the beginning of the semester. Tuition is $240 per semester for one child and $100 per additional sibling (including infants). If monthly payments must be made, prior arrangements shall be decided with Ms. Abigail (including tuition due on the first lesson of every month and a late fee of $5 for payments not made on that date). • You agree to read the parent newsletters, utilize materials, attend class, and listen to the semester recordings in the app at home in an effort to maximize the benefits of the program.

• Please arrive NO earlier than 5 minutes before class. I work hard to begin on time because many parents (including me) have full schedules. I also work hard to end on time! You are welcome to wait on the porch if you arrive early.

• No gum, candy, food, or toys are allowed in class. 

• Siblings and friends may not attend class unless they are officially enrolled. 

• Each child attending the class must be enrolled individually on the corporate website for insurance purposes. Babies under 6 months old may choose "no materials" upon registering. Each student over 9 months old should have their own instrument purchased for their use. Each student over 12 months old should have their own instrument AND workbook purchased for their use.

• If you are going to miss class, please notify Ms. Abigail by sending a text to 512-970-9770. I don’t answer the phone right before class or while teaching, so please plan accordingly. 

• In the event that a scheduling conflict arises with another activity, a move to a different class may be requested, but will depend on room in the other class and is not guaranteed. If no other options are available, I understand that tuition will not be waived for missed classes.

• Ms. Abigail works hard to maintain a safe teaching environment. However, our programs do involve physical movement. By registering in this program, I, the parent or legal guardian, accept full financial liability for any accident or injury that could possibly happen to my child, myself, or any guest accompanying me, while in Abigail Wiest's home or on her property. I release Abigail Wiest, and all of her heirs and connections from all liability.

• You grant permission to Mini Music Makers SD and Let's Play Music to use your image (photographs and/or video) for use on the studio website, social media accounts, email newsletters, Let's Play Music publications, videos, or the Let's Play Music website. You will waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photographs, videos, or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction with them now or in the future, whether that use is known to the teacher or unknown, and you waive the right to royalties or other compensation on arising from or related to the use of the image.
